– 1963 Gibson J-50 vintage acoustic guitar
– This 1 11/16” wide nut example, serial number 131403, is a luthier’s dream and is being sold in as-is condition in need of repair
– The original flat profile large celluloid pickguard has managed to nearly pull the Spruce top apart, causing cracks on both sides of the tortoise guard
– The original plastic bridge is surprisingly still firmly attached and un-cracked
– The Mahogany back and sides do not display cracks, as the top appears to be the only area in need of restoration
– All of the nitrocellulose lacquer clear coat is original
– Original parts include; the single-line Kluson tuning machines are original, the truss rod cover, the nut, the frets, the pickguard, the bridge, and the saddle
– The bridge pins and strap pin have been replaced with modern replicas, with an added strap pin in the neck heel
– Neck measurements: 1 11/16” nut width, .845” depth at 1st fret, .950” depth at 12th fret, .060” string height on low-E side at 1st fret, .115” string height on low-E side at 12th fret
– It does not include a case
