– For your consideration is this used Guild S4BG Barry Gibb Limited Edition model acoustic electric guitar.
– This NOS mint condition example, serial number AE041121, has remained in the original shipping box for the past 23 years. It includes the original hard case with key and all original hangtags. The cardboard box was in very poor condition and was recently thrown away by the original owner.
– According to some estimates, only 400 S4BG Barry Gibb signature models were made by Guild between 1997-2001. With the very limited model being introduced in the ’98 Guild catalog, all Guild S4BG guitars were subsequently made in Westerly, Rhode Island, with the model being discontinued prior to shifting all other production to Fender’s Corona factory in late-2001. Of the 400 total guitars, the vast majority were finished in blue or “Metallic Blue” as one advertisement refers to such. However, it seems as if the majority of documented S4BG were actually finished in a translucent blue. Translucent red, or “Crimson” as Guild called it, is by far the rarest of the several options. It’s possible that only 20 such S4BG models in translucent red were produced.
– This guitar has never been used, and it’s in absolute time capsule condition. The original protective plastic remains on the tortoise pickguard, and all gold hardware is absolutely vibrant.
– The body is carved from a solid slab of mahogany, with a solid 2-piece Sitka spruce top.
– Neck measurements: 1 5/8″ nut width, .875″ depth at 1st fret, .935″ depth at 12th fret
– Weight: 6.0 lbs.
– This is exquisite example is likely the best in existence, so don’t hesitate.
