– For your consideration is this matched pair of vintage 1955 Stackpole 250K split shaft linear taper potentiometers.
– These pots, with date stamp 304 517, were removed from a mid-’50s Stratocaster “Partcaster” of which the majority of the parts were from 1956.
– For the first several years of the Stratocaster’s production, approximately 1954-1957, it seems as though 50% were outfitted with linear taper pots while the other half were assembled with pots of the audio taper variety. While either/or would restore your valuable vintage Strat, audiophiles seem to agree that a linear taper potentiometer is ideal for the tone controls.
– While a trio might be more ideal, these 2 pots will highly complement your vintage Strat: even if you don’t install, throw ’em in the case, it’s very common that pots are stashed for posterity.
– Both work perfectly, and both are in excellent cosmetic condition.
– Pots include original locking washers and hex nuts.
