1956 Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar Neck – Vintage Soft-V Profile Maple Neck w/ Original Finish

– For your consideration is this vintage 1956 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar neck.
– This original ’56 Strat neck is in very good condition, it does however exhibit a very light overspray which was applied over the neck’s original nitrocellulose finish. Approximately 4 decades ago, this non-original lacquer clear coat was applied over the original decal, frets, and tuner ferrules. While this compromises the originality of the neck, it has also preserved these original features. If you reference the black light photos, the finish appears extremely old, and possibly original.
– This maple neck was separated from its original corresponding ’56 Strat body, as well as other miscellaneous original parts, due to the majority of the guitar having suffered from a series of modifications and non-original components which influenced our decision to “part it out” and offer the resulting pieces individually.
– Extensive original weather checking is present the neck over, which has permeated the overspray in a very attractive and convincing manner.
– Aside from the non-original overspray, there are no other modifications: no added string tree holes, no refret, no repairs, no breaks, no sanding, etc.
– The previous owner wanted to “enhance” or maximize the performance of their Strat: this resulted in a very light sanding of the bottom of the neck, where it meets the cavity, as to create the most level and snug mounting surface. This was also performed within the neck pocket. The result is no visible pencil date on the neck. However, the prominent V-shape neck profile is very typical of Fender necks circa 1956.
– It does NOT include a nut, a string tree, or tuners. It is being offered with original ’56 tuner ferrules, original decal, original frets, and original truss rod adjustment nut.
