– Both the Electordyne 201-A and Langevin 5116B were made by MCA Tecnhnologies, and aside from chassis layout, the two mic pres are otherwise identical. The 201-A is actually less cramped, with a circuit occupying more surface area which results in slightly less noise, less heat, and less oscillation. This layout also renders is much easier to service.
