– 1959 The Fisher Ambassador III ‘Modern’ Model A-920 MCM record player console with original paperwork.
– Fisher’s A-920 in the modern configuration is incredibly rare, with the console including the following modular tube components; chassis R-31S mono tube amplifier/tuner, chassis 30-A tube monoblock amplifier, chassis P-66 mono phono preamp amplifier, and Garrard model RC88/4 turntable.
– Outfitted with fantastic original AlNiCo Jensen speakers.
– Undeniably quintessential mid-century styling combined with Fisher’s premium tube stereo setup, THIS is the Danish modern console to own.
– The cabinet is in very nice condition, however, the thin edge-banding has peeled and cracked free in several areas. Edge-banding is easy to replace.
– The woven cane grills are preserved in excellent shape.
– Stashed away in storage for decades, the open back has allowed significant dust to cover the interior components.
– This console has been tested and all tube components work perfectly! The AM/FM tuner, preamp,and power amp all work and sound great. The turntable has not been tested with an LP though the plate spins accordingly.
