– For your consideration is this vintage c.1964 Ampeg “Operating Instructions For Portaflex Bassamps” manual for the B-12-N, B-15-N, and B-18-N Portaflex model amplifiers.
– This is a very rare piece of Ampeg amplifier history, which was included alongside the aforementioned amp models when purchased new.
– After a fairly in depth internet search, there is no evidence of this document online.
– The Portaflex series was introduced in 1960. There is no date on this manual, so it can quite possibly be appropriate for most any year Ampeg Portaflex bass amp made between 1960-1968 though the appearance of the typewrite font and graphic header suggest it is likely on the earlier side of that time frame, circa ’60-’64.
