– For your consideration is this vintage 1973 unbranded lawsuit era Gibson EB-3 copy electric bass guitar with the original chipboard case.
– Most often manufactured with a “Global” imprint atop the peghead, this classic short scale bass was actually made by Teisco.
– This is a very nice original example. It includes the original chrome bridge cover which is commonly misplaced. It even retains the original clear protective plastic on the truss rod cover. It’s highly presentable and rather attractive, preserved in near excellent condition. There are (2) screws where it appears a finger rest was once installed. It appears professionally executed if not by the factory. The vintage MIJ “witch hat” style knobs were replaced with non-original reissue Gibson reflector knobs. It is not quite excellent as it does display wear on the metal pickup surround, and general superficial finish wear.
– The neck is very straight and the bass plays great. Both pickups sound fantastic and the bass is a real joy to play.
– Neck measurements: .839″ depth at 1st fret, .917″ depth at 12th fret, 1.677″ nut width
– Scale length: 30.25″
– Pickup measurements: 5.01 kOhm (bridge), 6.09 kOhm (neck)
– Weight: 6.8 lbs.
