– For your consideration is this vintage 1980 Fender Bullet experimental prototype electric maple guitar neck.
– With a pre-CBS style Stratocaster headstock shape, unlike the Tele-style used on the Bullet models, this neck was not date stamped and the transitional logo decal does not denote a model name.
– This was acquired from a long-time employee of Fender’s Fullerton factory. It is one of many incomplete and/or modified experimental necks in the collection. It’s a very interesting piece of Fender history, about which we don’t know much.
– Neck measurements: .811″ depth at 1st fret, .874″ depth at 12th fret, 1.601″ nut width
– Weight: 1.0 lb.
