1980 Quad Eight QE NS10 NS120 Vintage Noise Gate Electrodyne Q8 Compressor Limiter Console Rack Module

For sale is this vintage 1980 Quad Eight NS10 Noise Gate. This particular example is in excellent original condition. Serviced by Ken Hirsch of Orphan Audio, this example is in perfect working order. This is a very cool/unique sounding module that uses a FET to turn on the gate and adjust the gate decay with different capacitor values allowing you to shape the sounds of drums, instruments, and reverb tails in ways that aren’t possible with a digital gate. Used by many, but perhaps most notably often used on Zappa’s vocals. Don’t miss out, this is the only one currently advertised. Perfect as an addition/spare to your Quad Eight console, or even as a single-space rack project. This is dated to be from ’80 though numerous components and all pots were produced in ’79.
