– 1981 Aria Pro II SB-1000 original 1st production Super Bass series vintage electric bass guitar
– This very nice 100% original example, serial number 1100017, is in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working order. This is NOT a high quality reissue (which typically sells for $2,000 used), it is a very rare original version.
– It includes the original ‘Aria Pro II SUPER BASS series’ rectangular hard case with green interior which is in very good condition. The bottom corner has duct tape concealing what is presumed to be a flaw along the edge of the case.
– The original strap pins have been replaced with era appropriate strap locks, and the original battery terminals have since been replaced, otherwise it’s entirely original.
– This particular SB-1000 is unique in that it sports all of the features of a typical SB-1000 while being outfitted with an MB-III pickup and corresponding cream cover rather than the MB-1E as designated by the catalog. Otherwise, it’s a standard SB-1000 with a Canadian Ash boy, maple walnut transmit-neck, heelless cutaway, 860mm scale length, jacaranda fingerboard, 24 frets, Quick-Hook brass bridge tailpiece and matching brass nut, including: BB circuit with volume and tone controls, 6-position tone selector switch, by-pass switch, LED indicator, and noice killer circuit.
– This earlier variant features a 5-ply laminated neck in a maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple configuration
– Neck measurements: 1 25/32” (45.5mm) nut width, .875” neck depth at 1st fret, .975” neck depth at 12th fret
– Weight: 11 lbs.
