– Collings is responsible for making some of the best new acoustic guitars in the world, and the beautiful 001 Mh is no exception. This discontinued model is unsurprisingly every bit as exceptional as their more traditional acoustics. This little acoustic is incredibly well crafted, comfortable, and above all else, one of the sweetest sounding small body acoustic guitars on the market.
– This very fine example, serial number 21672, features atypically beautiful mahogany with subtle figuring visible on both the top and back. A matching tortoise strap pin was added to the neck heel, which resulted in a light finish check stemming from the professionally drilled hole. There is a small ding on the back of the peghead, otherwise there are no structural issues whatsoever, with only light playing wear.
– With an element of 19th century inspiration, the 001 Mh model is simple, small, and elegant. The 12-fret neck and slotted peghead design is complemented by an elongated body shape with a pyramid bridge typical of guitars made before the 20th century.
